The talk on 7th September was the first one back in the house and proved to be very popular. It was a full house, and we're not sure if that was due to the attraction of being back in the house, or the popularity of our wonderful speaker, Richard Holdsworth, MBE, Education and Conservation officer at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham.

With the Heritage weekend on the horizon the very weedy patch of paving surrounding Dickens' Swiss chalet was in urgent need of attention. Weeds as high as 3' were growing out of the cracks. So Karen, Terri and Sue, armed with gloves, weeded and tidyed the whole area. See for yourself what a difference a couple of hours' work has achieved in our pictures below.
