 Over 6000 people visited the Victorian school event at Eastgate House as part the Dickens Country Experience bus tours and Rochester’s Dickensian Christmas surpassing everyone's expectations.
 The BBC programme The One Show set up camp at Eastgate House while they filmed a Christmas special about the Dickens Chalet with journalist and broadcaster John Sergeant.
 The contract for the refurbishment of Eastgate House has been awarded in December 2014 to Fairhurst Ward Abbotts.
