With the Heritage weekend on the horizon the very weedy patch of paving surrounding Dickens' Swiss chalet was in urgent need of attention. Weeds as high as 3' were growing out of the cracks. So Karen, Terri and Sue, armed with gloves, weeded and tidyed the whole area. See for yourself what a difference a couple of hours' work has achieved in our pictures below. General light maintenance in the rest of the garden is being discussed and we hope soon to have the go ahead, and the rules and regulations governing our activity there.
In the meantime, bulbs have also been planted under the beech tree by the entrance gate, and we now have to wait till spring to see the results.
