Guildhall Museum announces its Autumn Lecture Series

The Guildhall Museum has announced its Autumn Lecture Series and has offered the Friends of Eastgate House a warm welcome.

The series of five lectures are themed around the events of one of the most pivotal dates in English history, 1066. They start on 29 September with historian and TV presenter, Dr Marc Morris and run through to 24 November 2016.

This year sees us a step closer to the re-opening of Eastgate House in Spring 2017.

As such, we are renewing calls for volunteers to help us to organise more events, raise awareness of the house, engage communities and increase our fundraising effort.

Friends of Eastgate House AGM and volunteer celebrations event: 6 June 2016

The Friends of Eastgate House held its AGM on Monday 6 June at the Guildhall Museum in Rochester. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to come, and contribute to the discussions and vote in the committee members.
The AGM, this year was followed by a special event hosted by Medway Council to say thank you to all the volunteers involved in Medway’s heritage sites for their hard work and support.
