Bringing the collection together

​From time to time the Friends receive requests to help with developing the visitor attraction at the house, and to support the officers in working through improvements and additions to the visitor experience.  One such development is a display in one of the rooms, to give an idea of what tools and implements would have been used in a 16th century kitchen.

We are starting with a dresser which was bought and put on display within days of the request coming our way.  We are working on the provision of a table and there will be more news about that later.  The photo shows the dresser as advertised.  Shortly we will hope to show the dresser and the table being put to good use in the ‘kitchen’.
