Eastgate House gardens: their history and significance - 27 January 2014

Rochester Library was the venue for our talk on the history of Eastgate House Gardens.  Beverley and Paul Howarth of the Kent Gardens Trust spoke about the work they were doing to record gardens in Kent and Medway, and were asked to do Eastgate House as a priority.  The present gardens were introduced in 1982 and current plans are to revert them to the design by Guy Dawber.
