The Friends of Eastgate House has learnt that FWA Conservation, the contractor working on Eastgate House in Rochester, has gone into administration and the project will be paused until a new contractor can be found. Richard Hicks, Acting Director for Regeneration, Community and Culture said: “Extensive conservation work ongoing at Eastgate House in Rochester High Street has been paused as a result of the contractor carrying out the work going into administration.
“While there will be a delay to the programme as we consider our options and legal position, we are determined to ensure this important conservation scheme is completed, which will result in the historic house being fully opened to the public for the first time in 30 years, and we will seek to keep the delay to an absolute minimum.” Published at 09:00 on 06/07/2015 Read the full press release Comments are closed.
