Friends acquire second set of bellows

​Eastgate House has one set of specially made bellows, we believe around the turn of the 19th century.  Thanks to the vigilance of our Vice-Chairman, Richard Moss, we have now acquired a second set.  

Richard, a keen eBay watcher, noticed the bellows up for auction and won the bid on behalf of the Friends.  He presented the new set to Chairman, Sue Haydock at the Dickens Festival.  The bellows will be located in one of the downstairs fireplaces, once they have been given a clean-up, so don’t forget to look out for it when you next visit.
