Before we forget all about Christmas and the Christmas Market in Rochester, and the Dickens Ball, I thought I would update you on the results of the stalls we had on the first and third weekend of the markets, and the raffle I organised at the Dickens Mistletoe Ball. With the help of your donations of jewellery, boxes, and other items, the two stalls raised a total of £488.50. Quite a result really, and I have to thank those Friends who covered for me at lunchtimes and helped with setting up and clearing away.
The raffle at the Mistletoe ball was another great success. I had managed to accumulate a total of 30 prizes over the year, and with the help of Katie we created a very attractive display. The raffle raised £225 which, when added to the craft stalls, made a grand total of £713.50 for the Friends. This will enable us to make purchases as and when the need arises and to help with restoration work. A heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to all those who contributed in some way or other. Sue Haydock, Chairman
