Whilst paying a passing visit to Eastgate House to see how things were going, I was persuaded to join a sewing workshop making lavender bags. I joined the small group of friendly ladies and set about choosing my fabric and design. Two hours later I had made two heart-shaped lavender bags which smelled gorgeous.
The workshop was part of a promotion by the Adult Education Centre to promote Eastgate House, and entry to the house and the workshop was free for those who attended.
Many thanks to Sue who ran the workshop in a very helpful and friendly way, helping those new to sewing and those who had problems with stiff hands. I look forward to the next workshop.
